Kate Hudson has been seen around town making out with Madonna’s ex, A-Rod. So it makes sense that she has an irrational fear of getting her ass kicked. Such was the case at the Veuve Clicquot’s Manhattan Polo Classic when she got word Madonna was coming with her boy toy Jesus Luz. Hudson arrived to the event disguised in a floppy hat and sunglasses. When she heard Madonna was coming at half-time, she booked it.

“Kate was completely intimidated by Madonna,” said one guest. “She clearly didn’t want trouble and decided to keep a low profile for the rest of the match.”
Said a second guest, “I didn’t even see Kate Hudson again after Madonna arrived. She ran away! But if I were dating Madonna’s ex, I’d be scared, too!”

“Madonna literally didn’t care,” said a third eyewitness.

Kate Hudson loves pole-dancing. So much so that she’s installed a stripper pole in her bathroom. Huh? Bathroom? An insider says Kate is positively gushing over it.

The big news yesterday was that even though Kate Hudson was “cozy” with A-Rod last week, she was frolicking on the beach with a mystery man just the other day. He turned out to be Australian PGA star Adam Scott. If I was a big fan of PGA, I’d be jumping up and down going OMG, OMG, OMG in a shrill 13-year-old girl voice. The NY Post says Kate Hudson shocked partiers with her “nasty and rude” demeanor last Thursday. Hudson was at the Gramercy Park Hotel for the premiere party for Rachel Zoe’s The Rachel Zoe Project when she lost it in an elevator going up to the rooftop with her friend.

When the friend came, Hudson and pal got in an elevator headed to the rooftop party, but the actress became incensed when there were too many people around her. “In the elevator she kept screeching, ‘I’m freaking out! It’s too much!’ while waving her arms around.” When she arrived at the roof, Hudson shunned the press line, claiming, “I don’t do that,” before going into a corner and demanding a bodyguard. She perked up when Kevin Connolly came over and flirted with her, before she left for the Rose Bar.

In Kate’s defense, “I’m freaking out! It’s too much!,” is usually the reaction I get when I drop my pants in hotel elevators.

Lance Armstrong and Kate Hudson tried to waltz into Rao’s without a reservation the other day and were quickly turned away. At Rao’s, only regulars have their own tables while peons need to reserve one months in advance. Disappointed, they went searching for another restaurant.

Ha, sucker. Did you read that? ANOTHER restaurant. Celebrities think they’re special, but they’re not. My dream is to work at McD’s so that one day when a famous person finally comes in, I can turn them away for having no reservation. That’ll show those stupid celebrities.

She broke the news at the “A Time for Heroes” Celebrity Carnival by saying, “It just got canceled.” However, she adds that she and hubby David, who she co-produced the show with, have other tricks up their sleeve. She dished, “We’re developing all kinds of stuff right now. We’ll producing more stuff together, for sure.” On a side note, Cox recently said her BFF Jennifer Aniston is doing good these days, and the two have been enjoying time together with and without Jen’s flavor of the week, John Mayer.

• Mark Wahlberg, 37, is going to be a daddy for the third time. He and longtime girlfriend Rhea Durham, 29, have two other children, daughter, Ella, 4 and son Michael, 2. “When the kids are good, we want eight or nine. When they’re bad, we [want] to stop at three,” Wahlberg said Monday while promoting his new movie, The Happening. Wahlberg didn’t say when the baby is due, but he said that having a family is “awesome . . Hectic at times, but a lot of fun.” He also revealed the pressures of fatherhood. “My fear is failing as a father, as a friend, as a son. I have a lot of responsibility and a lot of people counting on me. And I know God has put me in this position to put back and try to create some opportunities for some others, show kids there is another way.”

• Jay Leno is reaching out to “Tonight” show alum Ed McMahon as he faces foreclosure on his Beverly Hills home. “Everybody loves Ed. Jay and others on the show are discussing how they can help him,” Leno’s rep told the NY Daily News. Reportedly, McMahon’s public money troubles have prompted help from fans of Johnny Carson’s former sidekick, including several endorsement offers. “A lot of people have shown generosity,” says Howard Bragman, McMahon’s rep. “Things are going to work out.”

• Kate Hudson refused to comment about a possible relationship with Lance Armstrong on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show Monday morning. Hudson was on the show promoting her new eco-friendly hair product line with long time stylist David Babaii. Seacrest probed, “Are the rumors you’re dating Lance Armstrong true?” Hudson replied, “I don’t discuss my personal life . . My main priority in my life is my son and the number one thing I’ve learned is to discuss [these] things only causes more problems and more words taken out of context. Everything is always misconstrued and it’s always better to just let people speculate.” After the show Seacrest said he has a hunch that the two are a couple. “If it weren’t true, I’d say no. If it were true, I’d say what they just said.”

Kate Hudson broke it off with Owen Wilson a short while ago and now she’s seeing/dating/whatevering Lance Armstrong. OK! Magazine via MSNBC says Owen Wilson is pretty upset about it and has been prancing around town with Kate Hudson lookalikes.

Wilson, who has been in Philadelphia working on the film “Marley & Me,” is said to have been spotted getting cozy with a blonde lady friend at a local Rick’s Cabaret on May 15, then at club G on May 16. A clubgoer told OK! that the actor “looked pretty upset” and was “drinking and sulking.”

What better way to get over Kate than to date women who kind of look like her, but aren’t quite on the same level. That way Owen can make them do things that Kate never let him do like anal or that ball gag and live octopus thing which is “totally normal, baby. Celebrities do it ALL the time.”

Even though Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson just broke up (for the second time) it seems Kate has already moved on.

Kate, 29, was spotted with Lance Armstrong, 36, in New York Thursday night and Austin, Texas on both Friday and Saturday night. Thursday night they had dinner at the Wildwood Barbeque restaurant at the afterparty of Kid Rock’s Madison Square Garden concert. On Friday they ate at Eddie V’s, a favorite of Armstrong’s. Saturday night they went out to a more casual dinner with Armstrong’s three children and a group of people.

A source said, “They came in with the kids and a large group of people. They ordered dinner. Tacos, burgers and fries and that sort of stuff.”

When asked if the two appeared to be more than friends, another insider said, “They looked like they were having fun.”
