Summer makes people do the craziest things. For starters, Zach Braff is dating someone his own age. After splitting from 23-year-old Mandy Moore earlier this year and spending the intervening months dating anything younger than her, the Scrubs star appears to be settling down with none other than Drew Barrymore. The two have been having a magical NYC summer, says Page Six, noting that “the lovebirds held hands strolling down Lafayette Street and that night made out at Beauty Bar.”

Braff and Barrymore’s same-age love hasn’t set any example for celebuspawn Kim Stewart, whose 62-year-old rocker dad just married a 36-year-old model. She’s been spotted around L.A. with Pamela Anderson’s ex, 44-year-old Tommy Lee. According to Page Six:

They met in London several months ago and are now dating. At last week’s opening of Pink Taco in L.A., Stewart was seen running out to Lee when he was denied entry after the fire department shut the party down. Our spy said, “They threw their arms around each other and she started saying, ‘Baby, baby,’ before kissing and leaving.”

Now all that’s left for the summer is for a much older woman to begin dating a younger man. Sharon Stone and Shia LeBoeuf, anyone?

Zach Braff and Drew Barrymore were spotted in the East Village over the weekend. They were holding hands on Lafayette Street and making out at Beauty Bar. Gosh. It’s a good thing Zach Braff broke it off with Mandy Moore or else he wouldn’t be getting tail like this. Isn’t this news exciting folks? It’s like the time I went on a magical adventure to the post office to mail a package and paid with a credit card. Swish. Right through the card reader. Simply amazing.

I like the show Scrubs. You should too. But should the star, Mr. Zach Braff, get $8.4m clams to continue the show into its seventh season? In a word, yes. Given the success Braff attained with Garden St he’s delaying other big paychecks by staying. Plus, it hasn’t been that long since Seinfeld and Friends were pulling down a million large for each episode.

The slight difference is that Scrubs has low ratings whereas those two shows were beloved by the masses.

But I think it was Sir Rod Stewart (he’s gotta be a knight, right?) who said:

Never wait or hesitate
Get in kid, before it’s too late
You may never get another chance.

A final fact - Charlie Sheen gets that sort of money for Two and a Half Men which I wouldn’t watch if you stapled my ass cheeks to the sofa. So in that spirit we salute you Zach to the Braff. Just don’t make me pick up the check next time we lunch.

I’m glad Drew has moved past both the drugs and Tom Green and seems to be dating nice introspective guys who write movies to meet Natalie Portman.

Those are my kind of guys. And she was decent on SNL last Saturday too.

I of course speak of Zach Braff and Drew, who are rumored to be mingling though it was of course denied by her publicist. But that’s what publicists do. They would deny just about anything besides charity work and their clients liking gay folk.

TMZ spotted Zach Braff attempting to flirt with a female caterer at some Hollywood party. His bag o’ lines included telling her how beautiful she was and that he would add her to the Hyde guest list. The cold hearted bitch still refused. How anyone can deny the charm of Zach Braff is beyond me. Next time maybe he can tell her she has the prettiest most sparkliest eyes ever and ask her if she wants the Ferrari he’s gonna buy her in pink or black. I hear women love men who brag about their riches and use tired lines on them. Trust me on this one. I know what I’m talking about.

There is unseen footage from an episode of Punk’d in 2005 where Zach Braff gets his Porsche graffitied by some kids. After reading this, Zach Braff has won some awesome points for beating up a 12 year old.

“(Then) we go outside and these little kids were spray painting the car. I think that my brand new car with, like, 100 miles on it has been ruined with spray paint graffiti. They choreographed the whole thing and I wasn’t supposed to catch the kid, but I caught him… and I’m not a big fighter or anything, but, with the adrenaline and everything, I just started pummeling him.”

That kid is lucky Zach Braff was the one doing the beating. From what I can tell from his movies and Scrubs, the pummeling could be more accurately described as flailing and clawing.

I’m not sure what I would do if I caught some kids spray painting my new Porsche. I’d probably assign them to community service to teach them respect, love and understanding because children are our future.
