Is nothing sacred in the WGA strike?
I love the video that the Colbert Report writers put together. Hey wait a second did they write something that went on the internet during the strike? Ooooo they are going to be in trouble for breaking the strike.
That was way too funny, good for them for having a little bit of fun while preparing for Dancing with the Stars! I am so voting for Marie Osmond and Jonathan Roberts!!! Go Marie and Jonathan!!!
The stars of Shrek the Third posed in front of Tower Bridge at a photocall on Sunday. Cameron Diaz, Antonio Banderas, Rupert Everett, and Mike Myers were all on hand to promote the film, which premiered yesterday. We also have pictures from the premiere featuring Antonio Banderas giving Justin Timberlake a piggyback and joking around. That’s one way to avoid your ex, cause a diversion.
MTV news reports that Banderas called Timberlake a “very interesting beautiful man” and that Timberlake talked about the two new musicians he signed onto his label, one of which he found through youtube
“I found these two new amazing talents Esmee off Youtube and Matt Morris who’s an amazing musician.”
Here’s Esmee singing “What Goes Around” by Timberlake. The girl really has talent:
I know that was only tangentially related to this post, but Esmee really has an amazing voice.
Here are the pictures from the premiere. Cameron Diaz is said to be wearing a borrowed Chanel dress. Thanks to Photorazzi for these pics.
In a move that puts Google at #1 in internet video, Google bought Youtube this afternoon for $1.65 billion. Youtube was founded by Chad Hurley, Steve Chen and Jawed Karim in February 2005.
Founders Chad Hurley and Steve Chen and their 65 employees will join the company, Google said today in a statement distributed by Business Wire. In less than two years, San Bruno, California-based YouTube has catapulted from startup to Internet icon with 34 million monthly U.S. visitors.
That’s amazing. Considering Youtube started up only last year and had been burning VC money, this is the equivalent of winning the lottery. $1.65 billion! Do you know how many hookers that could buy? Live ones?!
I put up a picture of Jessica Alba because…why not?
This isn’t really rich famous people news, but I thought it deserved a mention. The Youtube all-star Lonelygirl15 has finally been revealed as Jessica Rose, a 20 year old actress living in LA. Her videos were one of the most watched and discussed videos on Youtube. If you haven’t seen any of them, just imagine Dawson’s Creek except more dull. The masterminds behind these videos were Ramesh Flinders, a screenwriter, and Miles Beckett, a filmmaker, from Marin County, California.
Shocking. You mean the lives of home-schooled girls don’t play out like teen soap operas that would do the WB proud? Way to burst my bubble.
