NBC picks up Knight Rider for the fall

Source: seriouslyomg.com

NBC announced last week that they are going to announce their fall schedule this week, 6 weeks earlier than normal, and one of the shows that is being added to the lineup is Knight Rider according to Variety. Is anyone surprised that this show was picked up, it was almost a no-brainer as soon as NBC announced they were a 2-hour movie that could also substitute as a pilot. I just hope that the series is better than the pilot because I was bored to tears with it.
BTW NBC also picked up Kath and Kim with Molly Shannon and Selma Blair, that show is already on my must-not-see-list.

Robin Williams to guest star on Law & Order: SVU!!!

Law & Order: SVU got a major guest for their 200th episode according to Michael Ausiello

The Oscar winner will play a Svengali-like figure who tests Benson and Stabler like never before.

Exec producer Neal Baer says the episode is "one of the best cat and mouse stories we’ve ever done," and describes Williams’ character as "a guy who has a problem with authority figures." Adds Mariska Hargitay: "He is one of these charismatic human beings that has uncanny power over people to get them to do what he wants."

I am not a huge fan, but I am checking out the April 29th episode on NBC to see him on it!

Medium’s Sofia Vassilieva shaves her head for a movie

Pacific Coast News (bald-check out their site for more pix) and WireImage (with hair)

Medium’s Sofia Vassilieva was brave enough to shave off her gorgeous long blond hair for My Sister’s Keeper. I say she was brave because rumor has it Dakota Fanning dropped out of the movie when she heard she would have to shave her off her thin blond hair for it. It is OK for her to stimulate a rape scene in her underwear with a much older man, but not OK to shave her head. That is sad.

But back to Sofia, you look great with your bald head! Wear it proud when you accept the Oscar for this role!

BTW no word how Medium is going to deal with her new look.

Scrubs going to ABC?

Source: seriouslyomg.com

For those you of people who love Scrubs and were bummed that you were not going to get a proper goodbye for the show because of the WGA strike. Well looks like you might get more than a proper send-off because the Hollywood Reporter is reporting that ABC is considering picking up the show for 18 episodes next season. Personally I don’t get why this show won’t die but someone obviously likes it!

Knight Rider premieres tonight on NBC at 9p!

Source: seriouslyomg.com

Finally after months of hearing about Knight Rider, the TV movie that will most likely be a pilot for the new show is premiering tonight on NBC at 9p! I can’t wait to see the new KITT and Michael!!!

You need to watch Friday Night Lights tonight to save it!

I didn’t it was possible for Fantasia to make herself any uglier, but I was wrong. Why would anyone do that to one side of their head. So ewwww.

Val Kilmer is the new voice of Knight Rider’s KITT

Will Arnett, who was the voice of KITT for the upcoming Knight Rider movie was forced to drop out of the movie because he has been voicing commercials for General Motors for the last 10 years according to Variety. KITT is a Ford Mustang and Ford is helping to promote/market the NBC TV Movie, so obviously when GM, Ford’s competitor, heard about this they would not let his voice be heard in the movie. Will Arnett said,

"I was very excited at the prospect of playing the part of KITT in the new ‘Knight Rider’ movie," Arnett said. "However, because of a long relationship with General Motors as the voice of GMC Trucks, I had to respectfully withdraw from the project."

Sadly his part had already been completed and NBC has been scambling to fill his wheels, I mean shoes. Today they announced that the role Val Kilmer is the new voice of KITT. Luckily we only hear KITT and don’t see him because then Knight Rider would not be making air on February 17th. But I just wonder how no one realized the conflict when they hired him or at least when he started voicing the movie. I am sure someone lost their job over this.

Now back to Val Kilmer, I think he is great for the role especially since he is built like KITT now…sorry that was bad…

NBC’s The Baby Borrowers is better than I thought!

So I saw the first two episodes of NBC’s The Baby Borrowers that premieres on February 18th and all I can say is wow.
These 5 teen (18-20) couples think they are prepared to be parents and it was so compelling to watch how quickly that all changes when they are faced with real life like challenges. None of them (including me) realized how tough it is to raise a baby and that is only 1/5th of the experiment.
And for those of you who will try to bring controversy to this show saying how could any parent leave their kids with 2 teenagers who have no experience raising a child there is a nanny with them 24 hours a day and the parents monitor them from a near-by house and have the options to talk them or to take the kids away. There is nothing controversial about this show it is only beneficial.
So parents and teachers I highly recommend that you watch this show with your kids because it really shows that being a teen parent is not as easy as looks. Heck it shows being a parent isn’t as easy at looks.
BTW I can’t wait to see how this experiment changed their lives.
