Scott Baio and His Infant’s Medical Scare

Source: www.celebritysmackblog.com

Scott Baio, 47, is opening up about the medical scare he and wife Renee Sloan, 39, had to endure with their infant daughter Bailey DeLuca.

Only one day after mother and child came home from the hospital, Bailey, who was born premature, had tested positive for a potentially fatal disorder.

“[I could] hear it in her voice,” Renee said of the call from the pediatrician asking them to bring their daughter in for further testing.

Preliminary testing had showed she might have GA-1, (a metabolic disorder that can cause seizures and leads to coma and even death) Baio said it was the worst day of his life.

“Every breath that you take, every thought that you have, every moment that you’re conscious, it’s all you’re thinking about. The disease is a constant in your brain. It never leaves you.”

Renee agreed saying, “Every time [Scott] would see a child, see a baby, he would just break down. It was so tough to go through the holidays, our wedding … all the while knowing, our kid may die.”

After an exhausting ten weeks of running tests, the couple was ecstatic to learn that Bailey was completely healthy and that the result had been a false positive. “We jumped through the ceiling,” Baio said.

Still, having sympathy for children and families afflicted with the disease, the couple have started the ‘Bailey Baio Angel Foundation’ to promote awareness.

Who would have thought we would ever see the day that Scott Baio would smile at the paparazzi taking his picture as he carries his baby daughter Baily walking hand-and-hand with his wife Renee. I bet he never thought that would be the case either.  We thought he would always be a grumpy bachelor.

Eli Roth and Scott Baio do Zapped!

Source: seriouslyomg.com

So last night I dragged my poor friend Jerry with me to The Greats of Roth at the New Beverly Cinema and we saw Carrie and Zapped! But even better for me is that Scott Baio was there to do Q&A about the classic early ’80s movie Zapped! It was so much fun that even Jerry had a blast!!! In fact you get to share in the fun and see the intro and Q&A that Eli Roth and Scott Baio did for the movie! Seriously how adorable was Eli Roth being a true fan of the movie and Scott Baio! And Scott Baio gave great antidotes about the movie that he did over 25 years ago. In fact one of them is about how he had to have his hair pinned up because they scene was shot almost a year later and that is the scene from the movie that shown above. I especially loved when Scott asked Eli why he hasn’t cast him in any of his movie.
BTW if you have never seen Zapped! it just came out on DVD on February 12th!
So if you live near Los Angeles The Greats of Roth is going on for one more week at the New Beverly Cinema and you get to see two movies for $7. That is right only $7 for the double feature!!!

Eli Roth’s The Greats of Roth is entering its second successful week at the New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles and he has some special guests joining him! Tonight at 7:30p he will be screening Stephen King’s classic Carrie at 7:30p and one of the movie’s stars PJ Soles will be there to do Q&A afterwards and then they will be showing Zapped! at 9:30p. Tomorrow Carrie and Zapped! change times and Scott Baio, yes THERE WILL BE BAIO, will be there to watch the movie and then do some Q&A afterwards. This is a huge deal because Scott Baio hates to do this stuff which shows how great The Greats of Roth and Eli Roth are!!!

In fact this week several of the screenings were sold out and last night Eli Roth, his parents and a packed audience enjoyed a screening of the movie he showed at his Bar Mitzvah, Mother’s Day with director Charles Kaufman and the star Nancy Hendrickson (pictured above) and they did some Q&A.

Here is a list of what movies are screening when this week!

  • february 22, 23

    • Carrie (1976)

      • Fri: 7:30; Sat: 5:30 9:30
    • Zapped! (1982)

      • Fri: 9:30; Sat: 3:30 & 7:30
  • february 24, 25, 26

    • The Apple (1980)

      • Sun: 3:30 only; Mon/Tue: 7:30
    • Stunt Rock (1978)

      • Sun: 5:20 only; Mon/Tue: 9:20
  • february 27

    • The Blair Witch Project (1999)

      • 7:30
    • Cannibal Holocaust (1980)

      • 9:20
  • february 28

    • The Blair Witch Project (1999)

      • 7:30
    • Cannibal ferox (1981)

      • 9:20
  • february 29, 1

    • Bachelor Party (1984)

      • Fri: 7:30; Sat: 3:25 & 7:30
    • Caddyshack (1980)

      • Fri: 9:35; Sat: 5:30 & 9:35

Seriously if you are in the Los Angeles area you should try to make it to at least one of these screenings because the New Beverly Cinema is one of the few theaters left that shows movies in 35mm and still has that old school feel. Digital movies in stadium seating are nice, but there is just something about the feeling you get when you see a movie in 35mm in a completely dark room in a seat that makes your a$$ go numb!  Plus Eli Roth will be there!!!

Hope to see you there!!!

Thanks again to Eli Roth!

Scott Baio is 46 & Pregnant…and a jerk

Scott Baio is back for a second season tonight on Vh1 of his show which has been retitled to reflect the chnagss in his life, Scott Baio is 46…and Pregnant.

The show picks up where the first season left off and he finds out from his now fiancee he is going to be a dad. His reaction is one of the worst things I have ever heard, I don’t know why Renee didn’t turn around and leave him right then and there. You seriously have to check out what he said because it is too horrific to write.

Although he slowly redeems himself throughout the episode by going daddy 2 be classes and going to doctor with her. I am curious to see how he grows up as the season goes on. He has no choice to because that baby girl is coming whether he is ready or not.

So tune into Scott Baio is 46…and Pregnant tonight and watch Scott Baio finally grow up…sort of.

Someone actually married Scott Baio

Someone actually married Scott Baio. That’s about as smart as marrying OJ Simpson: you KNOW how it’s going to end. Not well. The eternal ladies’ man finally buckled down and put a ring on a woman’s finger. Turns out, all you have to do to get Scott Baio to marry you is get knocked up. A little over a month after giving birth to his first child, Renee Sloan, 35, walked down the aisle and pledged to love Scott Baio. And when I say walked down the aisle, I mean walked down an aisle on a rooftop during a hush-hush ceremony.

Scott Baio is 46… and married. The former Happy Days star and legendary bachelor finally tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Renee Sloan in a rooftop ceremony at a luxury high-rise Saturday in Los Angeles. The small religious ceremony was filmed for an episode for the second season of VH1’s reality show Scott Baio is 45… and Single, which premieres next month.

Among the attendees: Sloan’s 18-year-old daughter by a previous relationship, and according to sources, the newest member of the Baio family: the couple’s newborn daughter, whose name has not yet been released. Baio and Sloan, a model and actress he dated in the late ’90s after meeting at the Playboy Mansion, stayed friends, and reconnected romantically a couple of years ago.

[From People]

Frankly, if I were going to marry Scott Baio, someone so notoriously famous for his fear of commitment, I wouldn’t hold my wedding ceremony on a roof. It’s too easy for him to jump. I haven’t watched his show, but whenever I’ve seen Baio interviewed, he’s come across as kind of a skeeze. But there are always those ladies that like their men sleazy and horny, and if that’s your thing, you can’t do better than Scott Baio. So what kind of lady does it take to change the mind of one of Hollywood’s most steadfast bachelors? Well a set of fake boobs won’t hurt. Yet it still doesn’t sound like Scott’s completely on board with the concept.

Not long ago the idea of marriage was an anathema to the longtime Playboy Mansion regular. “My parents were married 53 years, good and bad,” the actor told PEOPLE recently. “Can I do that? Probably not. But I really hope I can. I don’t know, 53 years with the same human being? I can’t be around myself for more than three or four hours before I want to kill everybody.”

[From People]

Good luck lady. I’d try to pace your schedule so you give Scott Baio a little alone time every two hours or so, just to play it safe. And make sure the kid doesn’t rattle him too much. And I’d open up a secret bank account in the Cayman Islands and stash a little away for the future. Marriage or no, it doesn’t sound like Scott Baio is in it for the long haul.
