Britney’s father isn’t taking any chances with his daughter’s tenuous mental health. Access Hollywood is reporting that Jamie Spears plans move in with his daughter to ensure that that she is under constant supervision and is protected from the predators and paparazzi that may have hastened her her recent break down.

Access Hollywood’s insider also claims that a guardian who will also serve as a sobriety coach will move in with Jamie and Britney to help ease her transition back to a more calm lifestyle. Britney also suffers from the effects of what is thought to be abuse of prescription medication, much of which could have been forced on her without her knowledge by Sam Lutfi. In Touch reports that she had an “intense detox” while in her padded cell in UCLA’s psych ward, where she was hospitalized for just under a week.

In our earlier post about Britney we asked what was next for her, because her future outside of the hospital looks bleak as long as she continues on her erratic path. Having her father and a sober companion live with her and try to guide her daily decisions may be a very good compromise between hospitalization and complete hotel-hopping freedom.

Britney’s father Jamie works as a chef and said in a court deposition that he was unable to visit his daughter immediately on Sunday when she asked for him due to the fact that he had to cook for a Super Bowl party. At least the guy is working hard and not trying to sponge off his daughter. He was already appointed conservator of her estate and that time, and it speaks well for him that he kept his work commitments. He did visit Britney later at the hospital, and also showed up at the Beverly Hills Hotel last night where she was holed up with Adnan.

It is thought that Britney’s father will be in court today to try and enforce some of his authority as conservator of her estate, including not authorizing hotel stays and deciding which visitors she is permitted.

Heath Ledger’s family had a very touching response to news that his death has been ruled accidental. To say that their response is eloquent and touching is an extreme understatement. It’s clear the family feels a profound and enduring sense of loss, but is relieved that the toxicology results have proven that Heath’s death was unintentional.

We remain humble as parents and a family, among millions of people worldwide who may have suffered the tragic loss of a child. Few can understand the hollow, wrenching, and enduring agony parents silently suffer when a child predeceases them. Today’s results put an end to speculation, but our son’s beautiful spirit and enduring memory will forever remain in our hearts.

While no medications were taken in excess, we learned today the combination of doctor-prescribed drugs proved lethal for our boy. Heath’s accidental death serves as a caution to the hidden dangers of combining prescription medication, even at low dosage.

Our family enjoyed an extremely happy two week visit with Heath just prior to the New Year. Those recent precious days will stay with us forever. We as a family feel privileged to have some of his amazing magic moments captured in film. To most of the world Heath was an actor of immeasurable talent and promise. To those who knew him personally, Heath was a consummate artist whose passions also included photography, music, chess and directing. We knew Heath as a loving father, as our devoted son, and as a loyal and generous brother and friend.

We treasure our beautiful granddaughter Matilda (to our dear Michelle) as well as an unbelievably wonderful network of close friends, forever, around the world. Families rarely experience the uplifting, warm and massive outpouring of grief and support as have we, from every corner of the planet. This has deeply and profoundly touched our hearts and lives. We are eternally grateful.

At this moment we respectfully request the worldwide media allow us time to grieve privately, without the intrusions associated with press and photography.

I think it’s sweet how they acknowledge Michelle Williams, calling her “our dear Michelle.” Heath’s family have released some incredibly touching statements - this one definitely made me tear up. I think it really says something about them that the acknowledge how hard this is on all families who lose a child. It’s like they’re saying that everyone’s pain is equally valid and real.

They’re absolutely right that people need to pay more attention to the dangers of combining medications. Doctors and pharmacists need to be more diligent, but there are also lots of good drug interaction checkers online. Every time you get a new prescription, you should run it through with ALL of your other medicines, including over the counter and natural pills.

Oxycodone is a very serious medication. It’s not something you pop casually, nor do you prescribe it casually. Seven years ago I had surgery for a 90 degree tear in my rotator cuff, and my doctor prescribed two forms of oxycodone. He went over everything in detail with my mother, explaining that they were such serious drugs that taking one even five minutes off schedule (five minutes too close to the other one) could kill me. I was supposed to wean off of them over six weeks, which would have required maintaining a rigid schedule during three weeks of college. Knowing I wasn’t disciplined enough, I weaned completely off both of the oxycodones in three weeks instead. I didn’t know any better, and it wasn’t fun to say the least. The state of our health care system is abysmal, and rushed doctors don’t have the time to thoroughly explain medications like patients need. Heath Ledger’s death is incredibly tragic, and hopefully some sort of knowledge will come from it, and people will pay more attention to the pills they take.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie might be staying quiet on the issue of whether a fuller-looking Angelina is pregnant, but they’re giving away some hints here and there. Reporters on the red carpet at the Santa Barbara film festival this weekend were instructed not to ask questions about Angelina’s rumored pregnancy. This week’s OK! Magazine says that little Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, who turns two on May 27, is moving to a new big girl room in the couple’s Malibu mansion, and that she leaving her nursery, which Brad and Angelina are redecorating in shades of yellow. OK! has enough specific details about the new nursery to make it seem like they do have a source and aren’t just making this up:

Angelina and Brad have been preparing for a second biological baby by moving Shiloh into another bedroom and redecorating the nursery. They tore down the current nursery in their multimillion-dollar Malibu mansion, which has been the room of 20-month-old daughter Shiloh. “Brad made floor plans to give Shiloh a bedroom with her own canopy bed,” a friend of the actor tells OK! According to an insider, “Brad drafted plans to change the nursery, which was a very modern girl’s room. They wanted a muted yellow neutral palette so they could have a blank slate for the next addition.” They moved all of Shiloh’s princess drawings, toys and powder pink curtains to another room closer to Maddox, Zahara and Pax. Shiloh is growing up, and they wanted to give her her own first “big girl” bed.

The freshly-painted nursery now houses a brand-new crib. A Jolie Pitt insider confirms, “They got a new crib, and Brad wants to completely change the nursery.”

And contrary to the reports in the less reputable tabloid magazines that we love to devour, OK! doesn’t mention twins at all. They say that Brad and Angelina considered fertility drugs because this second pregnancy didn’t come as easily as the first, but that they decided to wait it out and were ultimately successful:

Shiloh’s birth was a piece of cake, but it took some old-fashioned practice to conceive their second natural-born baby. “Angelina was really upset that she couldn’t get pregnant,” a source close to the couple confides to OK! “She and Brad even discussed the possibility of fertility drugs, but they wanted to wait because they preferred not to have a multiple birth, and the changes of that were greater with fertility drugs.”

Another detail that corroborates the “Angelina is Pregnant” rumor that is that Angelina is said to have ordered more of those maternity shirts that she wore all the time when she was pregnant with Shiloh.

OK! also says that Brad and Angelina want to have another girl to hang out with Shiloh before she gets too old to pal around with another sibling, but that Pax is hoping for a little brother.

I think the twins rumor originated with a post on paparazzi photo agency X17’s blog, which was picked up and spun into “invitro treatments to save marriage!” stories by a lot of the tabloids. The details on the fertility treatments were shaky, although it does seem likely that Angelina saw a nutritionist prior to getting pregnant as so many outlets have suggested.

She’s definitely looking pregnant, and we’ll have to see now how and when she choses to announce it. It is thought that she will make a decision to reveal her pregnancy with a high-paid exclusive interview and photo session with the proceeds going to charity. She made a $400,000 donation to Wyclef Jean’s Yele Haiti charity with the proceeds from her first pregnancy announcement. People bash Angelina for “pimping out her kids,” but she does good things with the money, and people want to see their pictures and read about them in the glossies.

The former nanny to Katie Price (aka Jordan) and Peter Andre’s children, Becky Gauld, has a few things to say about the reality show couple. If you watch their dreadful show, you know that in the season finale last year, Becky was fired from her job as caretaker to Katie and Peter’s two sons because she took a holiday against Katie’s wishes. Since then, Becky has taken the pair to court for wrongful termination and won. Now, she’s going to the tabloids and telling them that Jordan isn’t the devoted mom she appears to be on TV.

Becky, 25, stormed: “Their life is very different to the one on TV. The reality is she’s selfish and self-centred - and NOT the perfect mum.

“If viewers had seen what I saw off-camera they’d be astounded. The only thing they do as a family is photoshoots.”

In the revealing interview she tells how Jordan:

ALLOWED overweight thyroid disorder sufferer Harvey to eat TWENTY chicken nuggets at once - even though she’d been told by doctors he could DIE if he didn’t diet.

WAS QUIZZED by SOCIAL SERVICES after the blind autistic youngster scalded himself in a bath of hot water.

TAUGHT Harvey to say “f*** off just so she and Andre could raise a laugh from their friends at a barbecue.

ASTONISHINGLY sent Becky a TEXT from her bed summoning her nanny from her cottage in the grounds of the £2.5 million mansion at 4AM… because the star couldn’t be bothered to get up and cope with Junior crying in a nearby room.

Becky told the paper: “When she was named Celebrity Mum Of The Year by Grattan last year I laughed.

Becky goes on to say that the ‘devoted parents’ routine is just that–a routine. The pair only cuddle and play with the children when the cameras are on, but when there’s no one around to impress, they were all too eager to dump the kids on the nanny. Apparently, Peter likes to hang out in his recording studio, while Jordan is more worried about her beauty treatments than changing diapers. The nanny expressed particular concern for Jordan’s oldest son, Harvey, who is autistic, blind, and suffers from a thyroid disorder.

Jordan has blamed her son’s weight problems on him hating vegetables, saying: “The doctors told me, ‘If he doesn’t go on a diet he could die’. I said, ‘I’m telling you now, he will not eat vegetables. He only wants to eat chicken nuggets or anything with potato’.”

But Becky - whose interview can be seen in full at notw.co.uk - says: “That is total rubbish, he WOULD eat vegetables - you just had to have patience and you had to hide them.

“I used to give him Bernard Matthews mini kievs and hide green beans inside. She’d seen me doing it but she knew it took PATIENCE to get him to eat them.

“Harvey’s weight problems were due to his condition but she also fed him the wrong things. They would sometimes give him up to 20 packets of raisins a day.”

On a holiday to Cyprus the nanny watched in horror as the couple fed him a mountain of fast food.

“In a McDonalds Peter bought him 20 chicken nuggets and chips and brought them back to the car,” she said. “Then he and Katie went shopping while Harvey bolted them down.

“I didn’t want him to eat them but I was not his mum. They went on holiday in America for ten days and he lost nearly a stone when I looked after him. I just gave him healthy food and exercise.”

Is it true– or is it sour grapes? While Jordan has not officially responded to the story, sources say she is very upset and plans to refute these claims. Becky certainly has a motive to paint Jordan as a bad mother. It can’t be easy to be fired from your job on national television– I would probably want some revenge on my employers if that’s how they chose to sack me. It wouldn’t be the first time a disgruntled former employee told tall tales about their boss to get even. However, Becky did win a court case against the pair, which adds a certain air of credibility to the story. And she has since found employment with another family. However, she did go running to The Sun, which means she was probably paid to tell her story.

I think Jordan’s a tacky, no-talent attention-whore, but I’ve always given her credit as a caring mother who seems to cope well with raising a child with so many disabilities. If the nanny is telling the truth, I hope there is some kind of investigation into what’s going on in that house. But with so many cameras pointed at Jordan and her kids on a daily basis, it’s hard to believe that someone other than the nanny wouldn’t have noticed all these things.

There was more news in the ongoing Britney saga this weekend. She remains in the psych ward at UCLA Medical Center, where the new psychiatrist who has been treating her supposed bipolar disorder practices. Britney’s stay has been extended for 14 days, and it is thought that it is on the recommendation of her doctor and is against her will. People reports that she is in a padded room and that she is allowed to keep her own clothing and toiletries and can take cigarette breaks outside. She may make phone calls, but only from a pay phone. LA Rag Mag has some supposed details from inside the psych ward, presumably from a patient or hospital worker, who claims that she is calling herself “Jack Triple X 59,” after having asked people to call her “Amanda.” It could be true, or it could be an anonymous tipster pulling everyone’s leg.

On Friday some valuables were noticed missing from Britney’s mansion. The theft apparently occurred after her hospitalization Thursday morning, and everyone is pointing fingers at Sam Lutfi, the megalomaniac self-appointed manager who has now been shut out of the singer’s life by a restraining order. Britney’s parents called the cops and filed a report of the missing items, which are described as “valuable possessions” by US Weekly. Lutfi has never hesitated to discuss his relationship with Britney to the press, and fellow blog Bitten and Bound has some inside information from a “friend” of Lutfi’s, who claims that he bragged about his power over her and tried to demonstrate that she was helpless without him.

Lutfi might still weasel his way back into Britney’s life despite the restraining order. Britney’s divorce lawyers, who are said to be aligned with Lutfi, are expected to fight her father’s legal control of her estate and medical affairs. TMZ reports that her lawyers will request “that a different conservator be appointed” when they go to court today, but that the person has not yet been decided on. Fingers crossed that it’s not Lutfi - or maybe that would be a good thing. A judge isn’t likely to give Lutfi control over Britney’s affairs. Part of me hopes that Britney with stay in the hospital with her father making the decisions and learning to live with the situation while gaining control of her health. Since she fights everything tooth and nail and seems to hate her dad, maybe an impartial legal team should be running things for her. That way she might have less animosity towards the treatment and day to day help she so badly needs.

Britney’s father Jamie has been granted temporary conservator of her estate and medical affairs by judicial order yesterday. This means that he has control over Britney’s finances, and all medical decisions regarding his daughter. A lawyer has been appointed by the court to help oversee Britney’s estate and ensure that her father handles it well.

Britney’s friend and maybe manager, Sam Lutfi, has been shut out of her life by her family, who obtained a restraining order for 22 days of the “Civil Harassment” type, according to OK! Magazine. The court has ordered that she is a “flight risk” and “at risk for kidnapping” and that she must stay in California until the next court date of February 4. Jamie Spears could possibly be made the “permanent conservator over his daughter’s affairs” at that hearing.

This was said to have really pissed off Britney, and somehow TMZ has privileged information from inside her hospital room. She was supposedly overheard yelling loudly in a British accent and expressing her anger at the situation, saying “Nobody’s taking my house. Who is my family?”

How this information got out is questionable, and given the amount that Lutfi has been talking to the press I wouldn’t put it past him to leak this. She also supposedly said that she would go to court to fight the order, and OK! says “sources close to Lutfi confirm” that Britney has only authorized visits to her hospital room from her cousin, Alli, and Sam. Sam is not allowed anywhere near Britney at this point due to the restraining order. There are guards posted outside her room and security is high at the hospital.

On Monday there could be a hearing requested by Britney’s divorce attorneys, who are aligned with Lutfi, challenging the court-granted control of her estate to her father. But her father, as conservator, could easily fire the firm that sides with Lutfi.

Meanwhile Lutfi is still talking to the press, telling US Magazine all about his feud with Britney’s family and continuing to disclose details of her medical condition. He called Britney’s family crazy and didn’t hesitate to talk trash about them, calling them “hillbillies” and making it sound like he’s Britney’s savoir:

“Oh boy, her family is crazy!” Lutfi told Usmagazine.com in a telephone interview Thursday, the same day the singer was taken to UCLA Medical Center. On Friday, Spears’ parents hit L.A. Superior Court to seek to control their daughter’s medical treatments.

“It’s funny because that’s what the doctors say when they meet the family,” he added. “They always come back and say, ‘You know, [her problems] are inherited, right?’

“It’s just so sad. It’s shared equally from both of her parents.”

He told Us the singer doesn’t “trust anything that her family says? Not a g—-n thing.”

He said they have tried to stage multiple interventions and that Thursday’s move was “at least their fourth” attempt.

When the singer heard Lynne had arrived Sunday night, Lutfi said Britney asked him, ‘Is my mom really here?’ I said, ‘Yeah, she’s here.’ And she’s like, ‘Oh great, you know they’re up to something.’

“They show up to the house like hillbillies, texting me,” Lutfi continued. “I find out that they’re outside, and they go, ‘You better let me in the gate, you ass.’ So I go, to Britney, ‘Your parents are here, let them come in and yell at you and scream at you. If anything else goes on, I’ll throw you in my car and take you out of here.’ She said, ‘OK, fine, baby.’

“I let them in. Instead of going to see how Britney is, they come bouncing through the doors. They scream at me, ‘Why the f—k are you talking to Barbara Walters?’ I swear to God that’s all they were saying.

“The dad pushed me in the chest and said, ‘Get the f—k out of here.’

“The dad gave up and then the mom tried to talk to her, but Lynne was like, ‘I gotta get my beauty sleep, I gotta get my nails done, I gotta do my hair.’ It was just so sick. We made the mom stay.”

Lutfi said the singer suffers from “mixed state bipolar” and has had it for “roughly five years.” (A person suffering from “mixed state bipolar” experiences symptoms of mania and depression at the same time.)

Yesterday JayBird wrote an article giving Lutfi more credit than I think he deserves. She said that Lutfi is the one who managed to get her medical treatment, and to me he seems all too willing to tell everyone about it. This guy has a history of controlling behavior, and has had up to three restraining orders against him by other “friends,” one of whom described how he turned on him and made threats against his family. He also sent threatening text messages to Britney’s new boyfriend warning him to stay out of her life.

Now Britney’s father is in control of her estate and you can’t blame her for being angry about it if she hasn’t had a great relationship with her family.

She’s been spending money like crazy, though, and she needs someone to take care of her finances for her because she’s wasting everything she makes in a month and purchasing new homes and cars constantly.

There is so much drama in Britney’s life and all this fighting among people who presumably want to help her is not making her recovery any easier. It’s not like you expect Britney’s family and her jealous friend to get along, but maybe if they weren’t so concerned with controlling her and were focused more on how to work together to help her she would have the space and calm she needs to get better. With Britney, though, it’s not like she was about to get help unless someone really convinced or forced her to. There’s sure to be a lot more to this story as these two sides continue to battle it out.
