Ed McMahon has to do this now

Ed McMahon

Ed McMahon has fallen on hard times. So, when FreeCreditReport.com offered him a job, Ed said “yes please, may I have another.” FCR said sure and gave him a second one. Now the 85-year-old Ed McMahon will star in two viral rap videos for the financial website. CNN says:

The videos feature McMahon wearing a tracksuit, being chauffeured around Los Angeles in a Cadillac Escalade golf cart and waxing lyrical about his very public financial troubles.

“When I retired, I was famous,” McMahon raps in the video. “I had money and glory/I bought a house for 6 mill/I thought nothing could touch me/Until my credit went south, and debt started to crunch me/Next thing I know, instead of playing gin rummy, I was scrambling just to make ends meet/It wasn’t funny.”

After being joined by two scantily clad women, McMahon continues: “Got a bump from the media chumps, but that was temporary/Wife with bad credit was scary, so I got wise/I may have fallen, but I got back up/Now I’m back on the attack, like a ninja swinging nunchucks/I told the haters, ‘Go on, take a hike’/It’s my show now, and I can do what I like.”

This is embarrassing. To have lived an iconic life and now have to do advertisements only suitable for the K-Feds of the world. Pretty soon, expect Ed to make appearances on MTV’s Sweet Sixteen: The Middle Class Edition. He’ll be the surprise guest at some poor girl’s party, gyrating his geriatric hips as he serenades her. She’ll be squirming uncomfortably in her seat while her clueless parents will be gushing with uncontrollable excitement.

Donald Trump is an attention whore

Donald Trump

A decrease in work due to a broken neck, two divorces and providing assistance to family and friends have created a black hole in Ed McMahon’s wallet and are reasons why his Beverly Hills mansion faces foreclosure. But, wait. Donald Trump is here to save the day. Trump plans to buy the mansion and lease it back to Ed McMahon.

Trump, who does not know McMahon personally, said it “would be an honor” to help out the man who spent three decades as Johnny Carson’s sidekick on The Tonight Show. “When I was at the Wharton School of Business I’d watch him every night.”

McMahon, 85, bought the six-bedroom house in January 1990. Down from a peak price of $7 million, the property was listed at a bargain $4.6 million last weekend, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Donald Trump won’t do anything unless he can get publicity out of it. Given two choices: donate anonymously to a charity or be in every magazine for a month by letting Britney Spears take a dump on him, he’d cup his hands in about half a second.

  • Paris Hilton’s “dog friendly” reputation has gone down the shitter with numerous rumors of her neglecting pets, and apparently the employees at The Puppy Store on Melrose Avenue were aware of this. Last weekend Paris was headed to a photo shoot and decided, out of the blue, that she wanted a puppy because she thought the pictures would be “cuter”. The dumbass went into the pet store, probably strutted around the room a couple of times and quickly decided she wanted a Yorkshire Terrier. The store’s employee, not wanting to see an animal go to someone who would make such a decision on impulse, refused to sell the dog to her. Paris blew a gasket, screaming, “I love my puppies! I want my baby!” and left without a dog.
  • Rumor has it Ed McMahon’s wife of 16 years, Pamela McMahon, is spending her husband’s money hand over fist. She loves to shop and apparently acts completely unaware of their financial problems. Just on one AmEx card alone they owe $750K. Although many of Ed’s friends and colleagues would like to help him out financially, they worry that it will only encourage Pamela to keep spending freely. Sadly, Donald Trump is using Ed’s money problems to gain publicity for himself, announcing loudly to the public that he wants to help the 85-year-old. However, he has only said this to the cameras . . not Ed. A source close to Ed hinted, “people who are talking publicly aren’t necessarily the ones who are helping.”
  • Queen Latifah, 38, who has been a Jenny Craig spokesperson since January, is inspiring plus sized women to lead healthy lifestyles. She says she initially signed up, not to get skinny, but instead to get healthy. “My intention was to lose five to 10 percent of my body weight because it makes a difference with health related issues, and I achieved that goal in a couple of months. I’m excited about this weight loss.” Latifah is also going to the gym five to seven days a week, switching between the treadmill or elliptical machine. “My jeans are looser, I feel more energetic. People dig it. They come up to me and say ‘I’m glad you’re talking about the health side of it.’ People get that message, which is important too. They see that I’m doing this for the health reasons but also say, ‘She’s still representing for the big girls. She hasn’t abandoned us!’ This is me doing something for me, but if I am going to be a role model I hope people can catch on.”
  • Gavin Rossdale recently said that his pregnant wife Gwen Steffani is under tremendous pressure by the media to lose the baby weight once she gives birth. Gwen is due with the couple’s second child this summer. Gavin says he feels terrible that his wife has to worry about it. “Yeah, she does (feel under pressure). I mean, she’s just so dedicated and she’s just amazing with that stuff (weight loss). It’s very hard because everyone’s so judged the whole time.”

Ed McMahon Fights Foreclosure on His Beverly Hills Mansion

Ed McMahon Foreclosure

Television icon, Ed McMahon, is fighting to keep his multi-million dollar home.

Since breaking his neck well over a year ago he hasn’t been able to work, causing him to get behind in mortgage payments.

McMahon, 85, best known for being Johnny Carson’s sidekick and spokesperson for American Family Publishers’, was a whopping $644,000 behind in payments when a default notice was filed with the Los Angeles County Recorder’s Office back in February.

McMahon’s spokesman, Howard Bragman said, “There are plenty of people affected by the weak economy, bad housing market or bad healt.”

He adds that McMahon has been discussing options with the lender but is not sure what the outcome will be at this point. The home is worth over $6 million and has been on the market over two years. Apparently it’s not far from Britney Spears’ pad, which doesn’t help, due to the paps infecting the area.

Poor Ed! To be 85, recovering from a broken neck and then to possibly lose your home. Nobody deserves that. Especially at 85!

Although I have to admit, I find it bizarre for someone who has been in Hollywood for as long as he has, to not be able to take work off for a year and still be able to live?

Regardless, I wish the best for he and his wife Pamela.
