Joel Madden took to his blog this weekend, writing about how he and baby momma Nicole Richie finally got hitched.

He typed in bold letters,

CHECK OUT MY BLOG FOR A PICTURE OF ME AND MY BEAUTIFUL BRIDE. ALL I CAN SAY IS I AM SO VERY HAPPY…….

However, once you scrolled down past his uploaded photo of a wedding cake, you saw a photo of two apes in wedding attire and Joel explaining the reason for his entry,

HAHA. JUST KIDDING.
So i feel really stupid even posting this, but i’ve been getting calls and texts from my family all week asking me why they weren’t invited to my wedding. I guess the only answer i could give them was that i didnt know we were having one. So i just found out that star magazine wrote some story about a 2 MILLION dollar wedding we are supposed to be having, and thats where it came from. Sooooo if you were pissed at me for not inviting you or even telling you, dont blame me, theres nothing to worry about. Its just star magazine. How long do you think it will be before they write we called it off, or we broke up? i give them a week or two……

Patrick Swayze isn’t letting pancreatic cancer keep him down.

Back in March rumors swarmed that Swayze may only have five weeks to live. That was twelve weeks ago.

Swayze, 55, says his body is responding well to the experimental CyberKnife treatment at Stanford University Medical Center. The CyberKnife delivers high doses of radiation to the cancer in his pancreas without damaging surrounding tissue.

Patrick and his wife, Lisa Niemi, have been keeping busy, enjoying life to the fullest. This weekend they attended a Lakers game and the couple celebrated Lisa’s birthday on Monday. They also recently renewed their marriage vows on their New Mexico ranch.

Patrick released the following statement to People magazine:

“Thought I’d give you guys a little update. Lisa and I have been back and forth from New Mexico enjoying the arrival of spring and new baby calves. This past weekend, we spent a fun time with friends in Reno for Lisa’s birthday, where I took her jewelry shopping at Kenny G & Company and (we) were able to find her something really special and much deserved! In the meantime, I am continuing treatment at Stanford and the great news is I continue to respond well.”

Cancer is just so terrible. I, as many of you, have lost a loved one to cancer and damn, it is really awful. Sometimes death comes so quickly - and other times it doesn’t happen fast enough. Either way, it is a really terrible way to die, and it is incredibly difficult on families.

I wish Patrick and his wife the best. I think they are very fortunate to be able to spend quality time together as they have been doing.

They are a shining example to Hollywood as to what true love really is.

Next month the couple will celebrate their 33rd wedding anniversary.

Jessica Alba, 27, and Cash Warren, 31, were secretly married on Monday, May 19th at the Beverly Hills courthouse.

Nothing fancy, the vows took place at the courthouse’s ceremony room about 40 minutes after applying for a license. People magazine reports that Alba wore a long blue dress and had her hair in a ponytail, while Warren wore a white shirt and brown pants.

Their unborn child is due this summer.

Yep, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz made it official yesterday and were married at her parents home.

Papa Joe performed the ceremony and sister Jessica was the maid of honor.  Pete’s dog, a English Bulldog, Hemingway was the ring bearer.

The wedding had an Alice in Wonderland theme and the cake was described as “a top hat, tea pot, stop watch and a pot of flowers on top.”  Centerpieces were made of black roses.

Ashlee’s dress was by Monique Lhuillier and was ivory lace.

Tony Romo, (yep, he showed) Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, Donald Faison and girlfriend CaCee Cobb were among the 150 guests who attended the wedding.

OK! magazine is reporting that the couple officially announced the pregnancy to guests of the ceremony.

OK! magazine is reporting that Hollywood A-lister’s Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal are getting married.

Apparently the couple have been talking about it for a little while and they’re saying it’s only a matter of time before Jake pops the question.

The publication quoted the manager of a restaurant where the couple had eaten recently. She went on and on about what a great couple they make, how darling they were, blah, blah, blah.. Then another source claims that Jake and Reese want to spend their lives together and should be formally engaged any day now.

So I guess my point is that they are NOT engaged at the time, nor do they have any official plans for a wedding, so don’t get too excited yet.

We pretty much already knew this so it isn’t breaking news or anything, but apparently it has been confirmed by a close source that Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz will marry this Saturday, May 17th.

The source told Us magazine, “Proper invites have not been sent out but instead guests have been given a save the date notice.”

As I told you last week, guests do not know the location of the ceremony. Instead, they will all meet at a specific location and will be driven to the ceremony site.

The rehearsal dinner will be attended by “family and close friends only”, as with every other person’s wedding, and will happen on Friday.

Simpson’s spokesperson is still refusing to confirm the wedding, saying it’s a personal matter. But you can pretty much bet on it.

Do you think they will last? Everyone thought Jessica and Nick would make it - and that went totally South! For some reason, I think the pretty little emo couple will do alright. I mean, they totally share makeup, clothes, hair dye.. It was simply meant to be!

UPDATE: Derober..com just published pics of Ashlee with some guy she may have hooked up with just after her and Pete got together. It seems that ‘Joe average’ hinted that he hit that, and even ‘did the math’ to make sure he wasn’t the daddy of the unborn baby!

Jenna Bush and Henry Hager were married at the Bush family ranch in Texas Saturday.

More than 200 people attended the ceremony.

Jenna’s gorgeous dress was designed specifically for her by family friend, Oscar de la Renta. He also designed the first lady’s dress.

President George Bush said of his daughter’s marriage, “This is a joyous occasion for our family, as we celebrate the happy life ahead of (Jenna) and her husband, Henry. It’s also a special time for Laura, who this Mother’s Day weekend will watch a young woman we raised together walk down the aisle.”

Since Nicole Richie and Joel Madden had a baby the question everyone seems to be asking is, ‘When will they get married?’

“Not anytime soon,” Madden, 29, told Usmagazine.com.

The couple do plan on celebrating their first Mother’s Day together though. “I don’t have any [plans] yet but I’m going to plan something special.  She is a great mom, she is super mom,” Joel said on Monday.

Little baby Harlow is a musical girl at heart, apparently taking after her father.  “We turn music on and she can’t stand yet but she definitely tries to dance and move to the beat even though she’s not standing or walking.”

You’ve probably already heard the news, Scarlett Johansson, 23, and Ryan Reynolds, 31, are engaged.

No wedding date has been set yet - apparently they aren’t in any rush to get to the alter. Scarlett specifically. Which, good for her, she’s a bit younger and I think it’s a great thing she doesn’t want to rush into it. Too bad everyone isn’t like that. :cough: Pam Anderson :cough:

Anyhow, a source told Ok! magazine, “Scarlett doesn’t want to get married anytime soon. So expect it to be a long engagement.”

“She has said time and time again that Ryan is the one who she wants to spend the rest of her life with.”

It will be the first marriage for both.

Latina.com is reporting that Mariah Carey, 38, and Nick Cannon, 27, were married yesterday on a small island in a very “spontaneous” ceremony.

A few close friends, including rapper Da Brat, attended the small wedding.

This is Mariah’s second marriage and Nick’s first.
