Eric McCormack reported to FAA after “screeching like a banshee” on plane

Eric McCormack was with his four year-old son and wife on an Alaskan Airlines flight from LA to Vancouver, but it wasn’t Eric’s son who was pitching a fit. The former “Will & Grace” star had the FAA called on him when he insisted on bringing aboard a booster seat for his son. Flight attendants told him that it wasn’t up to regulation, but he wouldn’t let up and screamed at them. He even claimed that the seat had been used on several flights before, but the price tag was still on it and there was a sticker on it saying “Not to be used on an aircraft”:
The 44-year-old [Eric McCormack] erupted after the crew told him that a booster seat he brought onboard for his 4-year-old son, Finnigan, was too large, violated regulations and had to be stowed with the luggage…
“Eric screeched like a banshee when he didn’t get his way,” said the insider.
“He yelled at crew members - telling them his family had used the seat on many flights in the past,” said the insider. “But the price tag was still on it. And when an attendant turned over the seat, a warning label said ‘Not to be used on aircraft!’”
Bt the actor’s outburst lastest so long that the place was already taxiing toward the runway - and it was too late to remove the seat.
“The violation of airline regulations resulted in the FAA being notified,” said the insider. “The booster seat battle turned what should have been a more routine flight into an uproar.”

You think the guy would give up once they pointed out the warning label showing the seat isn’t supposed to be used on a plane. I haven’t heard many good things about him as a person and this adds to an already-negative impression.
I hate flying and it’s so hard with a toddler so you can sort of understand his outburst, although it seemed to go on for too long. Usually it’s the kids that are acting out, not their parents. Some amount of associated anger is completely understandable but he should have canned it when they called him on the safety sticker.
