Johnny Depp’s seven year-old daughter, Lily-Rose, has been in a UK hospital for nine days. Her medical condition is not being revealed by newspapers, but is known by the hospital treating her.

Hollywood film star Johnny Depp’s young daughter is seriously ill in hospital, it was reported today.

The Mirror newspaper said Depp’s seven-year-old daughter Lily-Rose was rushed to a British hospital nine days ago as Depp, 43, took part in filming in the UK.

It said the Pirates Of The Caribbean star, who has enthused about the joys of fatherhood, and his partner Vanessa Paradis are keeping a round-the-clock vigil on the youngster.

The Mirror said it knew what Lily-Rose’s medical condition was and where she was being treated but was not revealing those details to protect the family’s privacy.

Depp and his longterm partner, French singer and actress Vanessa Paradis, are staying with their daughter day and night as she is treated. They also have a four year-old son, Jack.

Depp was filming Sweeney Todd in the UK when Lily-Rose fell ill.

I hope she gets well soon and that it’s nothing long term. It is devastating when a child is ill and my heart goes out to them.

Update: Lily-Rose had blood poisoning from a rusty tack she stepped on. According to In Touch’s website (no permalink available) “Blood poisoning… spread through her body and has affected her vital organs,” and one of her kidneys was failing, although that no longer seems to be the case. She is said to be doing much better now according to Johnny Depp’s rep.

Just when everyone started to get content with the rumored story that Anna Nicole died from pneumonia and/or too many “prescription” medications, (the coroner has not issued a final cause of death, but is expected to do so Friday) her bodyguard provides an account of Howard K. Stern’s actions on her final day that make us remember how creepy and suspicious he is.

Police questioned Anna’s bodyguard who was with her when she passed and who administered CPR before paramedics arrived at the hotel. He said she was on a lot of medication provided by Stern.

Either Moe told TMZ directly, or there is secondhand information that he questions Howard’s behavior on the day Anna died. TMZ claims that he says Stern was nowhere to be found when she passed, which was unlike him since he usually checked up on her constantly.

Earlier stories had Stern off buying a boat at the time of Anna’s death. It could just be a coincidence that he was gone or maybe he timed it carefully. (Although I read one report that Howard sailed back to the Bahamas after Anna died other stories had him flying back, and that seems to be the case since Entertainment Tonight interviewed him on a plane after Anna’s death.)

We’re told the cops went to Big Moe’s house this morning in Pembroke Pines, Fla., because they had questions about the security camera video at the hotel whereSmith died. Sources say Big Moe told the cops Anna was on “heavy doses” of prescription drugs that day, including flu medicine and antibiotics. Sources say Moe also told cops that in the months leading up to Smith’s death, Howard K. Stern gave her “some types of drugs,” though he didn’t specifically know which. As he put it, “Anna was in a cloud.”

Although Moe has not told cops about this, he privately says that Howard K. Stern had certain patterns of conduct when it came to Anna Nicole, and that pattern changed the day she died. We’re told it has to do with how Howard would constantly check up on Anna, but he went MIA during the critical time before her death, and Moe says that was “highly strange.”

Thanks to commentors who pointed out that the dress Anna was buried in was custom made for her upcoming wedding to Stern, not for her funeral. There were earlier reports that she had the dress made for her funeral, but the latest information from the dressmaker was that it was for her wedding and that he added hearts to the bodice to signify her anguish over her son Daniel’s death.

Was Anna having second thoughts about a real wedding to Stern? Was she about to leave him? Was it just a coincidence that he was uncharacteristically unavailable around the time she died?

Even if he did kill her, I doubt anyone will be able to pin it on him. He’s a sneaky conniver and if it was murder he probably planned it out carefully.

Everyone was worried about scruffy and chubby-looking Salma Hayek when those pictures came out of her paying the meter. I even wondered if it was actually her since I’m used to seeing the gorgeous actress with makeup. It turns out it was her, and that was definitely a baby bump we saw.

Salma’s rep confirms that she’s pregnant and she’s also engaged to a French guy who is the CEO of the parent company of Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent and he comes from a super wealthy family. Now that’s the kind of guy you want to marry:

“Businessman, François-Henri Pinault, and his fiancée, Salma Hayek, are happy to announce they are expecting the arrival of their first child,” Hayek’s rep confirmed in a statement Friday.

The news, first reported by New York Daily News columnist Ben Widdicombe (via gossip site Perez Hilton), comes just days after a photo of Hayek made the Web rounds prompting speculation that she was expecting.

The pair have kept a relatively low profile since their relationship began – though Hayek, 40, has joined Pinault for occasional public events, including one in October at the festivities surrounding the inauguration of the Pinault Foundation’s Modern Art collection in Venice’s Gritti Palace.

Pinault is the CEO of luxury goods firm PPR, which owns Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent, as well as a French department store and national music chain. His father, François, is an avid art collector owning more than 2,500 valuable pieces, including Picassos, Miros and work by contemporary artistst including Damien Hirst.

Congratulations to Salma and her new fiance. She’s the second actress to announce a pregnancy recently since Naomi Watt’s happy news. I’m excited to see both of their babies.

Update: François-Henri Pinault turns 45 at the end of May. (Link is in French, which I don’t know, but it’s a wikipedia entry about his dad and François-Henri’s birth date is mentioned.) Salma is 40.

I knew K-Fed’s recent image change to good dad was too good to be true. In early December the producer for House of Carters confirmed that K-Fed was looking for a reality show that would make him look good, and now he’s jumping on the chance to be portrayed as a well-meaning bumbling dad to two toddlers. Either he’s capitalizing on his recent situation with Britney in rehab or it’s all working out according to his master plan:

Federline, 28, is hawking a reality show that focuses on his life as a single dad and estranged husband of an out-of-control pop star.

“Kevin is ready for his second ‘15 minutes of fame,’” a source tells The ENQUIRER. “This time he wants to focus the cameras on his personal life as he assumes responsibility for his two sons. And he’s not wasting any time getting the spotlight back on himself while Britney is occupied taking care of her substance abuse problems.”

Unfortunately, I know I would watch at least one episode to see what it’s like, and K-Fed must be trying to cash in on this while he still has a chance. As long as Britney remains a f’up, he’s still has the goodwill of the public.

And the latest Britney rehab rumor has her believing she doesn’t really need the place and just suffers from postpartum depression. Supposedly her whole family is worried she’ll bolt any day now. Since she left twice already, that’s not so much of a stretch.

One of Tom and Katie’s people made a visit to that Petit Tresor baby boutique and ordered up a custom baby room for a boy at a cost of around $45,000. The boutique has until April 15 to come up with designs for the room, and TMZ points out that the date is coincidentally three days before Suri’s birthday.

They ask if Tom and Katie are perhaps adopting, but do it rather tastelessly by speculating if they’re going to go on a “Third World shopping trip.” Nice. (I’m not an adoptive parent, and I imagine if I was I would find that even more offensive than I already do.)

There’s no word if the room is actually for one of Tom and Katie’s homes. The famous cult couple and their entourage are looking for a new mansion in Beverly Hills to house up to 12 people, including Tom, his mom, Katie, Suri, Tom’s sister and her two children, and Tom’s two kids from his first marriage. The large estate where they’ve been living is rented, and the owners want to sell it.

Are they going to have a new baby to accompany them in their big new place? It seems a little soon considering that Katie is about to film in Lousiana for a few months. Maybe they’re timing an adoption to coincide with when she’ll be done with filming.

There were tabloid claims that Tom was pressuring Katie for another baby right away, but that she was happy with Suri and wanted to focus on her career for a while.

Here is Katie out with Tom and Suri on 3/4 and out at a meeting on 3/5. She sure doesn’t look pregnant, but it could be early on, they could be adopting, or this entire story could have to do with some other rich person’s nursery.

Paris Hilton’s on and off BFF, stylist Kim Kardashian, shot to fame last spring when she dated newly single Nick Lachey briefly. Everyone wanted to know more about the exotic-looking daughter of deceased O.J. Simpson lawyer Robert Kardashian.

We’re about to see more of Kardashian than most of us care to. Her sex tape with ex Ray J, an R&B artist and little brother to singer Brandy, is going to be released despite legal wrangles. Popular adult video distributor Vivid Entertainment say they tried to reach some agreement with Kardashian over the video but that talks broke down and they’re going to put it out anyway. Since they’re so sure they have rights to the dirty film, chances are Ray J sold it to them:

Steven Hirsch, Co-Chairman of Vivid, told TMZ, “I met with Kim yesterday and unfortunately, we didn’t even come close to reaching an agreement. We will now immediately move forward with the release.”

After Kardashian filed suit last month, Vivid announced that they would temporarily halt production. The company feels confident that they have a legal right to distribute the DVD of the video. They paid an unidentified third party $1 million for rights to the tape, which was made three years ago.

The tape was rumored to end with a golden shower, but either that’s not true or that scene was cut out of the final version, as it’s said to be pee free. I’ll do some research for you guys once the video comes out and let you know if it’s in there.

Kardashian was dating singer Nick Cannon for a while, but he has moved on Sports Illustrated swimsuit hottie and Victoria’s Secret model Selita Ebanks. (They were rumored to be married in a quickie Vegas wedding after dating less than a month, but supposedly that’s not true.)

Ray J was linked with much-older soon to be divorcee and ex crack addict Whitney Houston. They were said to have split over news of the sex tape, but were seen out together recently and seem to be back on again.

I don’t want to hear any crap about how Kim’s boyfriend at the time is a black guy. Everyone has different taste in partners, as we discussed at length in a thread about Cameron Diaz’s latest hookup, Tyrese Gibson, although I heard she was with some other guy now, I can’t keep up. And different taste in guys does not mean there’s anything wrong with you, that’s just ignorance talking.

Although Ray J’s a skeeve for releasing their sex tape it’s not Kim’s fault. I dated guys in college that probably would have released a sex tape with me if I was famous, although I had enough sense not to let them videotape anything. Maybe if I was younger there would be incriminating photos of me, because technology is more prevalent at this point. Please be careful, young people. Trust no one.

Madonna was seen riding in the backseat of her own gas-guzzling SUV with her little adopted infant Davie Banda in her lap - and not in a carseat, not once but on two separate occasions. She didn’t really pull a Britney in that she wasn’t actually driving the car, but this is spiltting hairs since it’s still very illegal and very dangerous:

The 48-year-old and husband GUY RITCHIE loaded their three children into their Escalade after 2 March (07) services at the Kabbalah Centre in Los Angeles, but baby David was not properly restrained. A witness tells American publication Us Weekly, “There was no car seat. (Madonna) sat in the middle row, and they left with David on her lap.” The following day (03MAR07), Madonna allegedly defied the law by once again by sitting in the middle of the vehicle with six-year-old son ROCCO not properly secured. A representative for the singer slams the claims, saying, “Proper security measures are always taken for Madonna’s children.”

Despite Madonna’s PR flack’s claims, there are pictures of her riding with Davie on her lap. As the mother of a toddler, I have to say that’s f’ing ridiculous that she would do that. My son has ridden in childless aunts and uncle’s cars when we’re visiting and they always manage to find carseats to borrow from friends or neighbors - and we’re not rich, and we don’t have people at our beck and call who can go fetch carseats for us while we’re practicing cult worship for hours.

Madonna apparently thinks the child she snatched from its destitute family is not precious enough to protect, or maybe she’s just so full of herself and out of touch with reality that she believes Davie is safe in her skinny lap in that giant SUV she’s riding in.

I checked British carseat rules and it looks like they changed the law in September 2006 to make booster seats compulsory for all children from 3 to 12 or up to a certain height. I would suspect that car seats for infants up to three were mandated by law before that, but I couldn’t find out much about it.

Regardless it’s the law in England and in the states where Madonna so happily set her baby down on her lap two times. She’s probably been doing it since she adopted him and just hasn’t been caught yet.

A former nanny of Madonnas is shopping a tell-all book about the Pilates-loving control freak’s household. There’s no word what it contains, but the 80 page proposal sounds juicy and it looks like the nanny already has a literary agent. Can’t wait for that.
